Well I've been doing a lot of viewing of other's work on here and have almost come to the conclusion that I'm just not as good as I used to be. Many of my interests in art are limited to cars. I am more of a realist but have a desire to do cartoons of automobiles as well. I was always fond of the work of George Trosley, Dave Deal and Dennis Ellifson (whose work was featured in Car-Toons magazine). Later I became a fan of Harold James Cleworth and Art Fitzpatrick. Both of these men are very fine automotive artists and get every bit of respect I can bestow.I had an opportunity to meet Mr. Fitzpatrick at a G.T.O. nationals event here in Louisville. He was a very nice man and was interested in my art background.
My other art interests include pin-up art and fantacy art( barbarians,dragons wizards,etc.) I have always been a fan of Vargas, Olivia, Phillip Castle, Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta. Since joining D.A. I have recognized others who have similar styles, all of which have gained as much if not more respect as an artist as those that I've mentioned previously. To those of you I say keep up the good work! You have nothing to fear from me... I'll never be as good as you.
